Anagendil®
The ingredient to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss
Anagendil® is a registered ingredient composed of a unique combination of active ingredients derived from plant extracts. It is composed of three active plant ingredients: Capilia LongaPPF, Saw palmetto, and Ginger. The properties of these active ingredients make it an ingredient with great potential at a cosmetic and pharmacological level, as it has proven its effectiveness as a hair growth promoter and as an effective anti-hair loss solution.
Ingredients
Scientific studies carried out by the biotechnological company Vytrus Biotech have shown that certain plant extracts can stimulate hair growth. Anagendil® has an exclusive combination of active ingredients from plant extracts to prevent hair loss: Capilia LongaPPF, Saw palmetto and Ginger. This makes it an ingredient with great cosmetic and pharmacological potential.
Capilia Longa PPF
This active ingredient has been developed using in vitro techniques with plant stem cell cultures from Curcuma longa (turmeric) roots. Turmeric is one of the most studied plants in biomedicine, as it has been attributed antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, healing, antimicrobial, DNA protection and regenerative functions, mainly due to its high curcuminoid (mainly curcumin) content.
Saw palmetto
Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) fruit extract is a very effective active ingredient in the treatment of androgenic alopecia, because it contains beta-sitosterols and fatty acids capable of balancing the levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that lead to hair loss.
Ginger
Ginger root extract (Zingiber officinale) contains phytonutrients such as gingerols that help stimulate blood flow to the scalp. This makes it easier for the other active ingredients to reach the hair follicle, increasing their effects
How does hair loss happen?
Hair loss is a problem that goes beyond aesthetics. It affects men and women alike and is caused due to a variety of different reasons (hormonal, immunological, pharmacological, etc.)
- Studies suggest that the scalp normally loses an average of 50-100 hairs per day. This is normal, as the hair renewal cycle consists of 3 phases: hair growth (anagen), maintenance (catagen) and hair loss (telogen).
When there is an imbalance in this hair renewal cycle, hair loss is greater than usual and alopecia problems arise. The most prominent are telogen effluvium or stress-related hair loss, and androgenic alopecia, due to an excess of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes hair loss.
Why does this imbalance take place?
Each hair is born from a hair follicle, which consists of a hair bulb at its base. In the hair bulb are the dermal papilla cells, which regulate the phases of the hair renewal cycle through several key molecules, such as growth factors, nutrients and microRNAs (miRNAs).
Research has shown that dermal papilla cells are involved in all forms of alopecia. When they lose their function, hair growth stops, as the signalling molecules of the hair renewal cycle are deregulated. In other words, the miRNA-22 molecule, which promotes the hair loss phase, increases, while the IGF-1 and miRNA-31 molecules, which promote the growth phase, decrease.
Results
Biological and clinical activity studies
A series of tests carried out in the lab and on volunteers support Capilia LongaPPF action mechanism:
-
Activate hair follicle regeneration.
-
Stimulate microcirculation and bulb nutrition.
-
Restarting the hair cycle by lengthening the anagen phase and delaying the onset of the telogen phase.
-
Increase hair density and quality.
-
Delay hair loss.
-
Healthier follicles and stronger hair.
All these effects were observed in both men and women with alopecia.
In Vitro Effectiveness
In vitro tests prove the ingredients ability to activate dermal papilla cell proliferation, stimulate the release of key growth agents for new hair production (IGF-1), and epigenetic modulation of miRNA-31 and miRNA-22 expression in dermal papilla cells.
Higher than other growth agents and minoxidil
In Vivo Effectiveness
In addition, in vivo tests were performed on 40 Caucasian volunteers, men and women, aged between 18 and 60 . All of them suffered from hair loss due to alopecia of different aetiologies. The test was carried out in two groups: one group was treated with the product and the other group was untreated. Visible anti-hair loss effects, an increase in hair density and regeneration, and hair growth recovery were observed after 150 days of daily treatment (when the biological cycle of the hair was completed).
Results confirmed by the volunteers
After 150 days of treatment, most of the volunteers noticed visible results, were satisfied and stated their intention to purchase this product for daily use:
